The Walk (2021) - Made in Collaboration with Soon Surrey

Created as an Instagram Reel - a time-lapse overlayed with a poem. Created as part of a professional collaboration with mental health advocates Soon Surrey in 2021, I was commissioned to create three social media posts to encourage positive mental wellbeing during lockdown, which also suggested activities young people could do to improve their mental health during lockdown.

This video details a walk near the River Thames with a voiceover of my poem “Day By Day” which was written during my collaboration with Soon Surrey.

A reading of my poem “Afraid of the Dark” for Midnight at Home, a showcase of virtual creative work during the Covid-19 lockdowns. This piece explores prejudicial notions of race and the assumptions a person has about a stranger just from looking at them.
